Playing EotN - Guild Wars Forums

This is gonna sound silly to some of you, but....I've played Prophecies and Factions on and off for many years. I just bought Nightfall and Eye of the North. Thing is, I cannot figure out how to get to the EotN part. I see where it is supposed to be, but I can't get there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon - the highest spawn point of Kaineng City
Bendah - by the the stairs next to storage i think.

I appreciate the responses.

I saw the same thing on GuildWiki and when I talk to them, all three of them, they don't give a quest. It just says (x) "I'll be on my way". Is there some requirement that I'm not finding in order for them to open it up?

yea the only thing you need to do is be there to talk to them, and to be lvl 10.. but if you get to them u probably should be lvl 10 xD.

You say you just bought Nightfall and EotN. Did you make a separate account for NF and EotN, different from the account with Prophecies and Factions? Or did you add them all to the same account?

im sure i sound like a doofus saying this, but when i bought EotN and added the key to my acct, i totally spaced and didnt install the EotN DISK. didnt take me long to figure out my error, but any chance you did the same?

I just bought the collector's edition. It's the fastest way to lvl in my opinion.
Make a nf character, level it to 10 and go to eye of the north.
Really fun expansion... enjoy it

Cash, you don't need any install disc to play, only the key. The only thing the disc does is install game files, but you can download them as you go without installing them from the disc as well.

Weird. The game is installed, not that I could tell from playing the game. But it is installed. I reinserted the EotN disk just to make sure, and it says "Play Eye of the North", which means it is installed. I pressed "yes", enter the game, talk to the NPC's that supposedly give me the quest I need, and nothing. No mention of EotN, no mention of a quest.

I checked my quest list to make sure I hadn't already taken the quest (Hole of Istan) and forgotten, and its not there. I read through the various paper work/literature that came with the game, not once do they bother to mention how the hell to play the game I just bought. I checked Wiki and they say the same thing y'all are saying. Talking to those NPC's does no good. I have a LvL 20 that already completed Nightfall, and I cannot access the EotN areas.

Yes, I added them to the existing account I've had for many years.

I appreciate all the help. You guys are great. I just seem to be experiencing an issue that I can't remedy. I don't know what else to do.

Installing the eotn doesnt help, because everything (all campaigns + eotn) are already in your gw.dat (assuming it is up-to-date as it needs to be up-to-date to play).

Quests to enter eotn only become available when eotn is unlocked and you meet all requirements. You unlock eotn by adding the eotn key to you account. For the rest you only need to be level 10 or up and do 1 of the 3 available quests mentioned before...

You didnt state HOW you bought eotn... if you bought it via the online store, then the key will be added automatically to your account, but when you bought it elsewhere then you have to do it manually yourself.

At the character selection screen select "Edit Account" then "Manage Access Keys" and "Next". Do you have EotN listed alongside your other campaigns ?
